Binge drinking can consume an addict’s life and cause them to loose their job, loose relationships with family or close friends. Not only that but excessive drinking can cause alcohol dementia, which makes the individual unable to form any new memories. If you believe a loved on suffers from alcoholism, there are centers with binge drinking treatment programs that can help.
This is an informative video, \"Alcohol Dementia\", because it discusses the seriousness of binge drinking. Going into a treatment center and talking to a specialist about your options can point the addict into the direction of recovery. Hopefully, by posting this video more people will understand the severity that binge drinking can have on their life. There are support groups where addicts can talk about their problems and meet other individual who are going through a similar situation. This may also help choosing a treatment center because it allows the patient to talk to other people and to hopefully gain insight into what types of programs work for what reasons.

For me, being a college freshman was amazing—meeting tons of new people, going to fun parties, going to classes seemed novel (for the first couple weeks of the semester), basically being free. After my parents got me settled in my dorm and we said our good-byes my Dad said to me, “don’t let school get in the way of your education.” I laughed and didn’t think much about that sentiment until the end of my sophomore year. It was probably some of the best advice he had ever given me. Part of the reason college is so fun is because you are able to explore the world on your own (but still under the umbrella of your parent’s support). Binge drinking became a huge factor in my life. Every weekend there was at least 1 person taken to the hospital to have their stomach pumped from drinking too much. Not only that, but as the years went by more and more people started using
